Regular major events

KDE events

Once a year, hundreds of members of the community meet at Akademy to present their work, plan future projects, build community and get work done.

  • FOSDEM↗, Brussels, Belgium (yearly)
    • About: FOSDEM is the biggest free and non-commercial event organized by and for the community. Its goal is to provide Free and Open Source developers with a place to meet.

    • About: QtWS is an annual gathering of Qt partners and customers.

Hosting a KDE event requires some work to make it successful. On this page you will find the information that will help you promote the event, and a list of things to consider while preparing it. If you need more help, do not hesitate to ask us on the mailing list, or directly contact a person who already attended or organized a KDE event.

Hosting a release party in your city is the easiest way to meet local members of the KDE community and have fun while celebrating the latest technology from KDE.
