Different efforts are currently being led to make building Kdenlive on Microsoft Windows possible.
Cross compiling on GNU/Linux using MXE

Porting the MLT framework to CMake
To be able to compile Kdenlive with MSVC (Microsoft Visual C++ compiler and libraries toolset). (Elie).
