The amaroK project, which is producing an awesome and free audio player for Linux and Unix, has launched a fundraising effort and asks for your monetary support. With the rising popularity of amaroK, the project has to cope with some costs. These costs include server hosting and bandwidth, hardware for development as well as developer meetings. So the amaroK project started a fundraising campaign: "Our aim is to collect 5,000 US $ by 1st November 2005, and as we are a free software project, we depend on your help." If you are willing to help the project offers to mention your name on their Fundraising 2005 contributors page. And, of course you can always download and use the best available music player for free. :-)
