The Community Working Group is a group of people supporting KDE in all matters community. The charter and list of current members can be found on the [http://ev.kde.org/workinggroups/cwg.php KDE e.V. website].
The Community Working Group takes care of KDE's community members. It enables the KDE Community to work effectively and efficiently by helping the community members maintain healthy interactions and resolving conflicts.


= Office Hours =
The Community Working Group was established at the General Assembly of KDE e.V. in August 2008. [http://ev.kde.org/workinggroups/cwg.php KDE e.V. website].
 
The CWG is holding office hours in the #kde-cwg channel on freenode irc ([irc://irc.freenode.net/kde-cwg #kde-cwg], or [http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=kde-cwg&uio=d4 webchat]). You are free to join and ask for help, tips and feedback to all things community. Sensitive and/or confidential topics should be brought up outside the office hours.

The long-term goal of the Community Working Group is to help to maintain a friendly and welcoming KDE community, thereby ensuring KDE remains a great project enjoyed by all contributors and users.


= Moderation =
We use a participative approach. The Community Working Group acts as supporting staff who help where help is needed. The group is prepared to help community members whenever they request support. For example, in cases where a member becomes targeted or when a member needs help expressing opinions or ideas to the team.


The CWG is one working group within the KDE community, but all kinds of leaders within the community keep healthy dialogue flowing. See [[Moderation]] for more detail.
We actively approach members, where we feel it is necessary, to understand specific situations and help.
