openSUSE
openSUSE Tumbleweed
The openSUSE Tumbleweed receives regular updates of Qt and Frameworks packages as part of its rolling-release cycle. Due to the automated testing involved prior to the release of a snapshot, there might be some delays between the Frameworks release and the availability of packages.
Advanced users can use a set of dedicated repositories (see below).
Stable openSUSE releases
The latest stable openSUSE release (Leap 42.2) receives updates to Frameworks on as part of distribution updates. As this process involves the distro QA team, usually there is a delay between a release and the actual availability of packages.
Additional package repositories
You can use the repositories maintained by the openSUSE KDE community team to get updated packages faster. Stable Frameworks releases are tracked in the KDE:Frameworks5 repository (both Tumbleweed and Leap).
Live Images
The openSUSE community KDE team maintains also two live images, which track the **git master** state of the Frameworks repositories, updated weekly:
- Argon, based on openSUSE Leap;
- Krypton, based on openSUSE Tumbleweed.
Both are available at the KDE:Medias download area on download.opensuse.org
Arch Linux
On Arch Linux, packages for KDE Frameworks are available in the official [extra] repository. To install execute the command
# pacman -Syu
# pacman -S kf5 kf5-aids
