* If you need  accomodation to be arranged for you, please send an email to [mailto:lemma_AT_confuego_DOT_org Michael Leupold] and state if you have a price limit and/or special requirements. I've got some offers for group-accomodation and will try to book depending on need.
* Multi-bed room booked at http://www.city-uebernachtung-stuttgart.de. There are still beds free, so all you have to do is send a mail to [mailto:lemma_AT_confuego_DOT_org Michael Leupold] and get one. One roome is approximately 40€/person/weekend. Breakfast is not included and will be organized separately (as in: we buy it in place).
* If you live in the Stuttgart area and can provide accomodation, please either ask the people you want to have crash at your place directly (preferred) or send an email to [mailto:lemma_AT_confuego_DOT_org me] so I can arrange things.

This page is meant to collaboratively organize the September'10 Baden-Wuerttemberg Sprint in Stuttgart. The sprint does not feature a specific topic inside KDE but is open to all contributors to KDE either living in the area or willing to travel to Stuttgart.

Date and Location

Date: Friday, 03.09. - Sunday, 05.09.2010
Location: shack Stuttgart
Äusserer Nordbahnhof 12 (Im Pfleiderer-Areal)
70191 Stuttgart
Area on OpenStreetMap
  • Shack will kindly provide us the location – their hackspace – and free network for the weekend. We’ll use it cooperatively, so we might be able to get some of them interested in contributing to KDE. Of course local people might be interested in what shack has to offer as well :-)
  • Shack will also sell drinks throughout the weekend and have asked us not to bring any of our own. This will relieve us of bringing them ourselves and will help them get some of their expenses covered. Don’t worry they’re still cheap at 1,50€ per 0,5l bottle (Club-Mate as well as regular softdrinks), in addition shack will organize a barbecue for lunch on saturday.

Venue

Some of the things are still preliminary but will be ironed out soon. Feel free to propose interesting stuff we could do.

Lightning Talks

Everyone is invited to talk about his project/work/some other interesting topic related to KDE. If you want to give a talk of around 10 minutes (German/English), just append your name and the topic of your talk to the list.

Michael Leupold (lemma): KDE und der Secret Service
Probably revamping some parts of my Akademy lightning talk but in German and reporting on some of the progress I've made in the meantime.
Frank Karlitschek: cool stuff
I’m not sure what to talk about because I’m working on several projects at the moment. We do a quick vote before the presentation. :-)
You?: Your topic

Accomodation

  • Multi-bed room booked at http://www.city-uebernachtung-stuttgart.de. There are still beds free, so all you have to do is send a mail to Michael Leupold and get one. One roome is approximately 40€/person/weekend. Breakfast is not included and will be organized separately (as in: we buy it in place).
  • If you live in the Stuttgart area and can provide accomodation, please either ask the people you want to have crash at your place directly (preferred) or send an email to me so I can arrange things.
  • No need to to anything if you prefer to book a hotel individually.

Participants

If you'd like to participate, please enlist yourself in the table below.

Some explanations:

  • Providing your travel route might help to carpool.
  • As the shack is faster to reach by car than by foot, please tell if you have a car in Stuttgart that weekend and would help driving people to the location.
